Speedwell House is situated in the village of Castleton with superb views where you can relax following a day exploring the Peak District National Park.
The breakfast room and both of the bedrooms enjoy views of Peveril Castle and Peak Cavern and the start of the White Peak limestone dales.
Guests receive complimentary refreshments on arrival, and are welcome to enjoy our gardens and meadows and take in the beautiful views. Breakfast is a leisurely affair with lots of choice from cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurt to a locally sourced, freshly cooked full English breakfast. Most dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
We have private parking to the front and rear of the house for your car or motorbike.
Free Wi-Fi is available in both rooms.

Breakfast is served between 8 and 10am at a pre-arranged specific time to suit guests. It is served in our bright and spacious breakfast room which is on the ground floor with a log burning stove.
Our delicious breakfasts will set you up for the day whether you choose a full English breakfast or one of our lighter choices. Most dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
There is also a choice of cereals, granola, yoghurts and fruit along with toast and preserves.

Both bedrooms have been individually designed to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Each ensuite has toiletries, towels, and individually designed fixtures and fittings by Elphius Flux, local upcyclers of distinction.
Regrettably we do not allow pets in the house, however we will soon be developing our barns as self-catering holiday accommodation and these will be dog friendly. The house is completely non-smoking.
We are closed over Christmas but we are open over the New Year period.

Walk along Peakshole Water from Speedwell House into the village and experience its quirky and individual shops including Blue John Jewellery and melt in the mouth traditional fudge at the Real Fudge Company
There is also a variety of other walks from relaxing strolls to demanding climbs in the Dark Peak Gritstone to the North and the White Peak Limestone to the South
